Good Vibes Only

Have you heard people talk about attaining a higher vibration? Do you understand what that means and why it’s important to you?

Let’s start with everything is energy. Everything emits an energetic frequency depending on how it is made up. A vibration is a state of being, the atmosphere, or the energetic quality of a person, place, thought, or thing. Even if you have no conceptual understanding of what vibrations are, you have certainly felt them.

If you consistently wake up feeling compassionate, enthusiastic, and ready to conquer the day, that is an indication that your vibrations are soaring high. On the other hand, if you're feeling bored, stuck, and generally blasé, then chances are your vibrations are low. You can change your energetic vibration by changing the way you feel, think, or act.


If you want to live your best, your heart and mind have to be partners, not enemies. Emotionally, this means honoring your feelings. The constant stress of carrying around negativity lowers your vibration. These may surface one day as pain, dis-ease or dysfunction. Refueling your mind with positive thoughts can help you be more accepting, hopeful and optimistic. This in turn, helps lower your stress level and raise your vibration.

I’m sure you have heard it said that whatever you offer out into the world will return to you. This is dictated by the Law of Attraction. Like attracts like. Simply put, it means that you attract into your life whatever you are putting out through the power of the mind. You are responsible for the outcomes of your life according to how you direct your thoughts and emotions.


There is an adage that says what you don't know, won't hurt you. Too often this has been proven wrong. And this is the case when it comes to Universal Laws. Ignorance excuses no one. Denying your current reality, especially if it’s a bad one, will not make it magically go away. Instead, learning to understand them will empower you to do better. There’s always an answer to everything if we are honest with ourselves.

Human vibrations are composed of everything from physical matter to the way you communicate the thoughts you think. There are so many examples of how negativity can ruin your life. A negative attitude is almost a guarantee that life will be more difficult and less fulfilling than it could be otherwise.

Negative people can cause problems for us on an individual level. Sometimes, we unknowingly give toxic individuals influence over our thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. Whether you spend two hours complaining about that boss you don't like, or you let an angry customer ruin your day, it's important to regain your perspective.


It’s not enough to ensure that you are not taking in negative energy from outside. You have to be careful that you are not emitting negative energy yourself. I know what you are thinking. You absolutely and completely have the right to get angry. You are provoked. It was their fault! And let’s recognize who is the victim over here, hello? Must you be forced to keep a stiff upper lip, over and above all this drama?

Now, this kind of attitude is hardly likely going to attune you to a life filled with heavenly pleasures. There is no way to get there from here. Do not be deceived. If you continue in this energetic vibration, you can be certain that soon afterward some kind of problem will arise. The negative energy you are transmitting will block your success, limit you and stop your subconscious mind from helping you attract what you want. You end up getting more of what you don’t want, more negative situations and things will just seem to go from bad to worse.


Instead of playing hit-and-miss, what is stopping you from acquiring the power of focusing on all that is positive and good? After all, you already know that what you consistently give your attention to, you increase your potential of attracting it, especially when it is accompanied by subsequent emotion.

In this fast-paced world, it is easy to get pulled back into the stresses of the daily grind. Any positive feeling is quickly forgotten as monotonous tasks take over. Therein lies the challenge. To maintain the chirpiness, we have to first remember it.

Everything is energy. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.

Habitual behaviors are reinforced during times of stress. We will be going along just fine until life gets chaotic. Suddenly, everything spins out of control. During times of stress, we generally fall back on our habits. When those habits are bad, we experience what we see as a failure of self-control. But, we also fall back on our good habits. That is why it is crucial to work on developing good habits. Observe life closely and look for the good in everything.


Many people are not moving forward today simply because they are not willing to take the small steps to move in the direction of their dreams. There’s something powerful about momentum. Granted, it’s hard to be positive when circumstances unfold in such a way that it is genuinely difficult to be happy. But if you surrender into the negative energy, you will get caught in a negative feedback loop. What would be the point of that?

Good news is quickly forgotten in that they grant us no cause for concern unlike negative news, which evokes greater emotional arousal. It may even pose potential threats. Refuse to let bad news dominate your life. You would rather be called ignorant than to plunge headlong over the cliff.

It is important to intentionally nourish even the slightest encouraging news rather than immediately brushing it aside. Learn to savor the moment. Discuss and track it just like you would a piece of bad news. Ponder it from all points of view and take pleasure in it. Make predictions and expect that improvements continue to unfold. By doing this, you will maintain high vibrational frequency that will attune you to its parameters.


No doubt you’ll have well-meaning friends or family coming along and urging you to pull your head out of the clouds. Politely thank them, acknowledge their concern and have nothing to do with them. Do not get entangled in the web of temporal concerns which can no sooner spiral out of control. Create an area of harmonious vibration leading to success and creativity.

Negativity, by contrast, is always destructive. There is no denying that some would rather focus on the problems rather than the solution. Look around and you will find people like this in your circle. They would be happy to discuss, track, take pleasure in and predict further and further obstacles. Bless their hearts, leave them alone in their negativity and refuse to join-in. Understand that they are neither good nor bad; it’s just that some people are predisposed to see the world darkly. Respect other’s boundaries and let them be what they choose to be.


A determination to focus on problems will undoubtedly bring them to you in abundance, leaving you stuck with the situations that result in grief and fear. Be deliberate to look for even the slightest blessing. You can always find something. Firmly hold your course in the direction of all that is good, letting go of the old pattern of getting upset and downhearted at any minor obstacles. Find joy in all parts of your world. Sure, no one can overcome a deeply entrenched bad behavior overnight but as soon as we can remember in time, we are well underway.

By then, you would have become a transmitter of positive energy as well as a receiver of positive energy. When you can do this consistently, the world around you will very quickly change for the better and you begin to experience a wave of pure, refreshing joy, carrying you even higher, as you feel yourself being inundated by endless sensations of indescribably bliss. Let’s ride the wave!
