Love That Transcends

xxxx

She’s not getting to know him. She’s trying to remember who he is. It seems like she had loved him before in another place. It’s a tale that resonates through the ages, the invisible thread divinely woven through the core of their souls. These star-crossed lovers resemble a Shakespeare inspired ballet — beautifully choreographed and stunningly orchestrated, beginning from time unknown.

Though they seem like strangers meeting for the very first time, yet the connection hints at a flame burning through the eons, deep breaths sustaining each other. One glance sets them along the path of infinite continuity, hurtling through space bridging the gap, the distance between them, for he’s a stranger she recognizes. He touched her soul long before she felt his hands on her skin.

When he wrapped his arms around her, she felt like her soul abruptly suspended its search. The gap, the absence, the void ceases to matter. Time feels like an eternity that is breathtakingly beautiful, flowing perpetually. His eyes and his voice lure her with a deep familiarity that feels distant but not detached. Impressions of stolen glances, first kisses, and hand-helds span far longer than a single cycle.

As he pulls her close and squeezes her, many miles of memories rush through the vortex, awakening her senses. Strange and yet bizarre, the connection feels alive. She knows him. His electric touch jump-starts her heart, igniting sparks of light and love through layers of semi-shadows, awakening every fiber of her being, the parts that lay dormant within. Parts she never knew existed come alive — radiating, resonating.

At that moment of his kiss, she’s home. Souls remember, only their bodies need adapting. She had tasted his kiss a thousand times before when it lingers between their eyes, long before it reaches her lips. Her soul reaches out to merge with his, uncovering places, realms, layers, and realities that coexist.

It’s a beautiful thing. They were lovers, always have been. She didn’t fall in love with him, she walked into his love, deliberately against every twist and bumps that threatened to draw them away from their ultimate destiny. Among trillions of stars, billions of galaxies, through cycles of lifetimes, and across worlds, they recognize each other expeditiously as mirrors reflecting one another in an innate connection.

Fitting together in perfect symmetry, theirs is the kind of love that’s unfathomable, unbreakable, undeniable. In the spaces between every breath, in the pause, the silence, she knows they are a part of something bigger than life itself.
