Lovers In A Parallel Universe

They are two strangers on different journeys, along the same path. He approaches from the opposite direction — their eyes meet. Sparks ignite and connect. At that moment, colors from the scene fade into blurry white until a sudden brightness explodes.

She notices him and her heart skips a beat. The thrill of love, the pulsing rush of longing, the quicken footsteps — the magnetic pull was taut. They gravitate towards each other, emotions elevating high.

She rushes into his arms, burying her face against his chest. The familiar scent. The wordless reassurance. He quenches her archives of longing like a bright fire on a cold winter’s day. They merge beautifully as two souls coming home to each other.

The scene falls away.

Amid the crowd, their eyes meet as they pass by. They are lovers in a parallel universe — another time and space. Here, they are strangers crossing the same path.
